What kind of design do I do?
Being user centric is what all my design decisions are centered around. Empathizing and focus on the user's needs while avoiding personal biases is essential. I am prioritizing the user's needs and the user experience when I design.
User Centric
The first design is never the final design. Thinking through usability standards and aesthetics is important, but usability testing is how I keep the design user-centric. Based on feedback from users I am able to iterate upon previous designs for improvement creating a better user experience and eventually the final product.
Iterative
Consistency in interaction is a building block to using recognition for the user. Making things that are buttons looks like buttons and things that aren't is an example. Another is recognition within the micro-interactions users take to complete tasks, for example in IOS swiping is the main function, keeping consistent with what users are used to within interactions is key.
Interactive First
I am a curious designer! I love questioning why we do things the way we do them and diving into new ideas and solutions.
Curiosity is one of the roots of my creativity, it drives design, leading to innovation!
